Ryan does not come from a family that went to a lot of Drag Racing growing up, but despite that he started drag racing when he was 16 years old. Ryan started off fixing and driving as he describes them “pieces of crap” but over the years he got faster and better. Now he drives for his own racing team Speedy Peedy racing and consistently makes ¼ Runs at 7 seconds or less and is able to hit 200+ MPH when he races, he is currently ranked 8th.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Speedy Peedys is Ryan Pederson's logistics company and racing team. His logistics company, Speedy Peedy Logistics, is based in West Allis, Wisconsin. They have a large fleet of 77 trucks and 89 drivers, handling various types of cargo such as general freight, US mail, and paper products. This allows them to transport goods across state lines efficiently. On the racing side, Speedy Peedy Racing supports Ryan as he races his Stick-Shift C6 Corvette on drag strips.

Drag Racing is an intense activity, but the thrills and community behind it help it keep going and enjoyable for everyone involved. Transmissions on these super fast drag cars have to be replaced every 15 to 20 runs, due to the stress put on them by high speeds. To get the speeds these drag racers do you have to shift 4 gears in 7 seconds, you have to make sure your timing is perfect to get the speeds needed for this high level of racing.

Ryan has great respect and love for the drag racing community. When he broke 2nd gear in his car, other competitors rallied around him and helped fix his car in time for his next run. Even more impressively, he went on to break a world record in that run.

The main event for the Outlaw Stick Shift Challenge starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 11:00 PM on Saturday, August 10th. there will be 3 different classes racing the whole day- with the more important races happening later in the day,  so there will be constant nonstop action. 

We recommend arriving early because the event will be very busy with vendors and racegoers. The races will include multiple classes of cars, with the main event showcasing cars that reach speeds over 200 MPH and complete the ¼ mile in under 7 seconds. For more information click here
